The Field Service Engineer II is responsible for technical reports, to control the spare parts under their own possession and to request the items necessary to achieve customer satisfaction. The position has a high-impact contribution to the company’s success by providing services to our customer base. This position reports to the Field Service Engineer Supervisor and is part of the Services Department located in Brasilia DF and will be working remotely to cover Brazil territory . In this role, the main responsibilities are, but not limited to: Provide installation support, maintenance, and repair on 2-3 groups of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic and/or refrigeration instruments to achieve customer satisfaction, also document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to comply with local and Leica policies. Actively support the service contracts, assist sales representatives and service team members with system configurations and upgrades. Provide other technical support as requested. Control the spare parts under own responsibility to maximize customer uptime and field service-related metrics. The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include Education: Bachelor’s or Technical Degree. Experience: Experience in mechanical, electromechanical, electronic equipment and scientific instruments. Experience in Diagnostic and repairing medical devices will be differential. Language: Portuguese/ English (Intermediate speaking) Travel, Motor Vehicle Record Ability to travel 80%+, frequent overnight travel, must maintain a flexible schedule, often with short notice. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
