ODS Brasil is an engineering company specialized in project, custody transfer, fiscal metering, and operational metering systems for global Oil & Gas market. 💼 Organization: ODS BRASIL is hiring an Mechanical Designer / Draftsman (Technician / Engineer) with a workplace based in Campinas,SP. Check below the job description of this position and be part of this powerfull team. 👇 Responsibilities : Produces and updates 2D engineering drawings in AutoCAD — General Arrangement (GA), plot plans, piping layouts, isometrics, supports and detail drawings — as per project standards and engineer instructions. Develops and maintains 3D models in Autodesk Inventor, generating assemblies, parts and associated fabrication/construction drawings for metering skids and process packages. Extracts Bills of Material (BOM) and material take-offs from 2D/3D models for piping, fittings, structural and mechanical items. Incorporates comments and mark-ups from Discipline Engineers, keeping revisions, title blocks and drawing registers up to date. Identifies interferences, misalignments and missing components in the 3D model and reports them to the responsible engineer. Develops instrument and equipment hook-up drawings (process, pneumatic and instrument connections) per P&IDs and vendor requirements. Designs cable tray routing/layouts for E&I, defining routes, elevations, supports and interference checks. Designs primary and secondary supports for piping and E&I items. Supports development and update of P&IDs and General Arrangement drawings with the engineering team. Interprets P&IDs, datasheets and specifications, translating them into layout, piping and fabrication drawings. Compiles piping and valve lists (sizes, materials, pressure ratings, components) based on isometrics and P&IDs. Verifies clearances, accessibility, maintainability and lifting/handling arrangements during drafting. Applies mechanical/piping standards and project specifications to drawings. Applies working understanding of flow metering technologies (Coriolis, ultrasonic, turbine, orifice) and installation requirements. Reflects metering, instrumentation and sampling arrangements correctly in GA and detail drawings. Follows ODS drawing standards, templates, layers and title-block conventions. Contributes to development of standard libraries, blocks and parts (SMART/standardized engineering). Organizes and delivers drawing packages, keeping registers updated and aligned with project schedule. Hard Skills (Technical Knowledge): Minimum 5 years of experience as designer/draftsman in mechanical, piping, process or industrial packages. Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and Autodesk Inventor (3D modelling) — essential, non-negotiable requirement. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, General Arrangements, isometrics, datasheets and fabrication drawings. Experience in oil & gas / flow metering is a differentiator (equivalent experience in adjacent process, piping or industrial segments also accepted). Knowledge of applicable mechanical/piping design codes and standards (desirable). Intermediate technical English (reading and writing technical materials). Valid driver's license (required). Educational Background : Technical-level qualification (technician) in Mechanical, Industrial Design or Drafting or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical. Experience with fabrication and assembly of skids/module is a plus. Good understanding of project execution processes in an engineering / oil & gas environment. Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with planning tools (e.g. MS Project) and ERP systems is an advantage. Intermediate English is required; Advanced or fluency will be considered a strong competitive advantage. CFT/CREA registration is desirable. Soft Skills: Organized, accurate and detail-oriented when handling technical drawings and data. Able to work jointly with the Discipline Engineer as part of the design team, taking ownership of assigned drawing packages. Good communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to manage priorities and deliver under time pressure and to schedule.
