Property Accountant (Remote) We are looking for a Property Accountant to support a portfolio of commercial real estate properties. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in handling full-cycle property accounting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy Deliver monthly and year-end financial reports with supporting documentation Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis (income & expenses) Support budgeting and forecasting processes Manage CAM reconciliations and expense recovery calculations Oversee cash activity, including reconciliations and fund transfers Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes Ensure timely payments of taxes, loans, and other obligations Assist with audit preparation and collaborate with auditors Support lease accounting, including rent rolls, lease abstracts, and reporting Partner with property management teams to resolve accounting issues Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA or Master's is a plus) 5+ years of experience in commercial property accounting Strong experience with month-end and year-end close processes Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (Yardi or MRI preferred) Solid understanding of financial reporting and general ledger management Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment Nice to Have Experience in real estate development accounting Exposure to multiple accounting methods Experience supporting property acquisitions or transitions What You'll Bring High attention to detail and accountability Strong time management and ability to prioritize Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach
