Trade Assistant / Workshop Assistant

We are seeking a motivated Trade Assistant / Workshop Assistant to support our crew of experts who specialise in radiators and heat exchangers for some of the biggest names in mining. What’s the role? Responsibilities Located in Paget and reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll form a part of our Strip & Assess team and be responsible for: Stripping, cleaning, and testing radiators and cooling components Sandblasting and buffing radiator tubes Assisting trade personnel and radiator repairers as needed Photographing components and completing job documentation Conducting preliminary quality inspections Ensuring all work complies with safety and quality standards Our Mackay workshop team operate from 6:00am – 2:30pm Monday to Thursday, and 6:00am – 12:30pm on Friday. About You You’ll be a great fit if you: Are mechanically minded and enjoy hands-on work Have experience using hand tools and power tools Demonstrate a strong commitment to health & safety Can follow instructions and standard operating procedures Are well organised, punctual and reliable Have good written and verbal communication Are physically fit and able to perform manual tasks Previous experience with radiators, cooling components or working on heavy equipment will be highly regarded.
