SAP S/4HANA Functional Support Consultant

The SAP S/4HANA Functional Support Consultant is responsible for resolving functional issues escalated from the Level 1 Support team. The role focuses on detailed functional analysis, SAP configuration, root cause analysis, testing, minor enhancements, and ensuring stable business operations. The consultant collaborates closely with business users, SAP Basis, ABAP developers, and integration teams. Key Responsibilities Incident & Problem Management Resolve functional incidents escalated from Level 1 Support. Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues. Prioritize incidents based on business criticality and SLA commitments. Coordinate with Level 3 support when advanced expertise is required. Maintain complete documentation of incident resolution activities. Functional Configuration Perform approved configuration changes within assigned SAP modules. Validate business requirements and recommend SAP standard solutions. Maintain configuration documentation. Support organizational structure updates and master data corrections. Change & Enhancement Support Prepare Functional Specifications (FS) for minor enhancements. Review Technical Specifications prepared by ABAP developers. Coordinate development, testing, and deployment activities. Execute functional testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Validate transports before production deployment. Business Process Support Support end-to-end business processes across assigned SAP modules. Assist business users with process improvements and issue resolution. Ensure compliance with SAP best practices. Integration Support Support functional issues related to integrations with: SAP Fiori Salesforce CRM Darwin HRMS TrackWise Digital eQMS Third-party applications Documentation Maintain Functional Design Documents. Prepare Root Cause Analysis reports. Update Knowledge Base articles. Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Continuous Improvement Identify recurring issues and implement preventive actions. Recommend process optimization opportunities. Participate in regression testing during upgrades and support packs. Required Functional Knowledge Strong expertise in one or more SAP S/4HANA modules: FI / CO MM SD PP QM PM EWM /WM Technical Knowledge SAP S/4HANA Configuration SAP Fiori Business Partner Organizational Structures Output Management Workflow IDocs and Interfaces Basic ABAP debugging Transport Management Required Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Functional configuration expertise Incident and problem management Documentation skills Stakeholder management Effective communication Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) SLA Compliance Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) Root Cause Analysis Completion Change Success Rate User Satisfaction Reduction in Repeat Incidents Experience : 4–8 years of SAP Functional experience, including at least 2–3 years supporting SAP S/4HANA in a production environment.
