Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (C# / .NET / Microsoft SQL Server) | Remote | LATAM We are looking for a full-time, remote Senior Software Engineer (C# / .NET / Microsoft SQL Server) with 5+ years of software development experience using C#, .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server to join our U.S. client. In this role, you will be a hands-on contributor on a product engineering team responsible for reporting, APIs, data-intensive services, and customer-facing applications. This is primarily a backend role with a strong data emphasis, and you will be expected to take ownership of what you build from problem definition through production. Founded in 2003, our client transforms the traditional restaurant point-of-sale (POS) terminal into an integrated 360-degree operational management system. Their solution increases brand loyalty through improved customer experiences, optimizes operations resulting in lower costs, and increases sales volumes through comprehensive analytics and employee performance insights. Over 7,000 locations use their technology today processing $5 Billion in daily sales. Responsibilities Design, build, test, deploy, and support production software using C#, .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server Build and maintain APIs, backend services, reporting functionality, and data-intensive application features Work hands-on with large SQL Server databases containing hundreds of millions of rows and potentially terabytes of data Write and optimize complex T-SQL, stored procedures, queries, and data-access patterns Design practical relational data models that balance maintainability, performance, and delivery needs Diagnose application and database performance problems using execution plans, indexing strategies, query analysis, and production telemetry Work effectively with clustered and nonclustered indexes, large-table strategies, partitioning, locking, blocking, and concurrency Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes Own software beyond implementation, including deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support Make pragmatic engineering decisions that balance quality, technical risk, delivery speed, and customer impact Work in existing codebases and improve them incrementally rather than requiring large rewrites Translate business needs and imperfect requirements into working software Make frontend changes when necessary, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks Review code and provide clear, actionable feedback Communicate progress, blockers, technical decisions, and tradeoffs clearly with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders Required Experience Excellent English communication skills 5+ years of professional software development experience 5+ years of experience with C# and modern .NET 2+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks Expert level T-SQL skills Proven hands-on experience working with production Microsoft SQL Server databases Experience designing relational data models and making practical schema design decisions Experience working with large datasets and high-volume database workloads Strong understanding of SQL Server performance fundamentals, including clustered and non-clustered indexes, query execution plans, query and stored procedure optimization, large-table design and partitioning concepts, and transactions, locking, blocking, and concurrency Experience building and consuming web APIs Ability to independently investigate unfamiliar or ambiguous technical problems Strong debugging and root-cause-analysis skills Demonstrated ability to deliver working software in iterative increments Comfortable taking ownership of code in production and participating directly in troubleshooting when issues occur Comfortable working across application boundaries when needed rather than limiting yourself to a narrow specialty Experience with Git and GitHub or similar source-control workflows Proven delivery experience in a vibrant, dynamic startup environment A collaborative approach, a can-do attitude, and a relentless pursuit to attain goals and solve problems Trustworthy, team-oriented, and transparent Desired Experience University degree or relevant industry experience Knowledge in Microsoft Azure Experience with Docker and containerized applications Reporting, analytics, or data-intensive application development Observability, application monitoring, and production troubleshooting CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines Experience with SaaS, e-commerce, restaurant technology, or point-of-sale systems Additional Information Knowing your ideas are heard and matter think big! If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
