Excellent retirement plan Role Description The Registration Specialist is a full-time, on-site role located in Aberdeen, SD. This position is responsible for greeting patients, collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information, and accurately completing patient registration in the practice management system. Day-to-day tasks include answering phone calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, updating patient records, and ensuring all required forms and authorizations are completed. The Registration Specialist will provide courteous customer service, explain registration and billing processes, and direct patients to appropriate staff or clinical areas as needed. This role also involves maintaining confidentiality, following practice policies, and working closely with clinical and billing teams to support smooth patient flow. Qualifications Strong patient-facing registration skills, including Registration and Patient Registration capabilities. Excellent communication and Phone Etiquette skills for interacting with patients, families, and staff. Customer Service and general Communication skills to provide a professional, respectful, and supportive experience. Attention to detail in data entry, documentation, and verification of insurance and demographic information. Basic computer proficiency and experience with electronic health records or practice management systems preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced clinical environment. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following healthcare privacy regulations. High school diploma or equivalent required; prior medical office or healthcare registration experience is beneficial.
