Business Operations Analyst Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite) Duration: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire Position Overview Ally Financial is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support operational initiatives across a large technology organization. This individual will work closely with leadership to help drive workforce operations, resource management, vendor coordination, process improvement efforts, reporting, and organizational effectiveness initiatives. This is a highly visible role that requires someone who is resourceful, proactive, and comfortable operating in an environment where priorities may shift from day to day. The ideal candidate can navigate ambiguity, independently find answers, build relationships across teams, and help keep a complex organization running efficiently. Key Responsibilities Support technology leadership with day-to-day operational activities and organizational initiatives. Facilitate recurring operational reviews, sourcing discussions, and leadership meetings. Support planning and coordination of leadership meetings, team events, offsites, and organizational communications. Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and operational metrics using Excel, Power BI, and internal reporting tools. Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and drive efficiency across the organization. Assist with risk tracking, issue management, and governance-related activities. Research information across multiple systems and teams to support operational decision-making. Participate in leadership staff meetings and gain exposure to senior leaders across the organization. Assist with workforce planning activities, including resource tracking, contractor management, backfill coordination, onboarding, and organizational reporting. Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for employees and contingent workers. Partner with vendors, staffing partners, and internal stakeholders to support contractor lifecycle management and renewals. Required Qualifications 1.5+ years of experience in Business Operations, Business Analysis, Program Coordination, Project Coordination, Workforce Management, or a related field. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Demonstrated ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity. Experience supporting operational processes across multiple teams. Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting technology, engineering, product, or software development organizations. Familiarity with SDLC environments and technology team operations. Experience building reports, dashboards, and analytics using Power BI or similar tools. Experience with contractor management, vendor coordination, or contingent workforce operations. Experience with operational reporting, organizational planning, and resource management. Background as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, Program Coordinator, or Workforce Analyst. Experience working within a large enterprise environment.
