About the Role We are looking for experienced Full-Stack Developers who can design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidates should have strong frontend and backend development expertise, hands-on experience with API development and integration, and a good understanding of databases, cloud platforms, authentication, application security, and modern software architecture. Candidates who have previously worked on fintech, banking, investment, wealth-management, payment, insurance, or other financial platforms will be strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable full-stack applications. Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance web interfaces. Develop secure and reusable backend services, business logic, and application components. Design, develop, document, and maintain RESTful APIs. Integrate applications with third-party services, financial-data platforms, payment gateways, custodians, CRMs, and other external systems. Implement secure authentication, authorization, role-based access control, session management, and data protection. Work with relational and non-relational databases and optimize queries for performance. Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers. Translate product and business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Participate in application architecture, technical planning, code reviews, and estimation. Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code. Develop automated unit, integration, and functional tests. Identify and resolve application, API, database, security, and performance issues. Support CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, monitoring, logging, and production releases. Follow secure coding practices appropriate for financial applications. Required Qualifications 4–8 years of professional full-stack development experience. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript. Strong frontend development experience with React.js, Next.js, Angular, Vue.js, or a comparable framework. Hands-on backend development experience with any of Node.js, Express.js, NestJS, Java, .NET, Python, or a comparable technology. Knowledge of RESTful API development and integration. Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar databases. Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern frontend development practices. Experience implementing authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, SSO, or similar standards. Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and software architecture. Experience with Git, code reviews, branching strategies, and collaborative development. Familiarity with automated testing, debugging, monitoring, and performance optimization. Good analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Fintech Experience Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas will be given preference: Banking and digital financial services Investment and wealth-management platforms Additional Advantages Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
