We are currently recruiting for a SQL Developer to join a global technology team supporting critical financial systems within a leading investment banking environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced database professional who enjoys working on large-scale enterprise platforms, partnering with business stakeholders and developers to deliver high-performing, data-driven solutions. The role will focus on SQL Server development, database design, query optimisation, performance tuning, stored procedures, and execution plan analysis, while also offering exposure to broader application development technologies including C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, and REST APIs. You'll collaborate with globally distributed teams to design, develop, enhance, and support business-critical applications, contributing to both technical solutions and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, database performance tuning, data modelling, and SSDT , alongside familiarity with Agile delivery practices, JIRA, Git, and DevOps tooling. Exposure to data integration technologies such as SSIS or Informatica would be beneficial. Candidates with experience in Investment Banking, Global Markets, Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, Prime Brokerage, or Financial Compliance environments will be particularly well suited to this position. Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are essential.
