As an Operator at Waypoint Port Services Brazil , you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the operational follow-up of tramp vessels carrying bulk cargoes such as grains, fertilizers, and sugar at ports across Brazil. This role supports vessel calls throughout the country and is not limited to Santos. You will work closely with Charterers, Owners, Disponent Owners, terminals, and shippers to ensure smooth and efficient port calls from arrival to departure. Key Responsibilities Manage the full operational cycle of vessel port calls for bulk carriers transporting grains, fertilizers, sugar, and other bulk cargoes across Brazilian ports Handle Notice of Readiness (NOR) tendering and all related operational documentation Coordinate and follow up on cargo hold inspections Prepare and manage the Proforma Disbursement Account (DA), including initial cost estimates before vessel arrival and final account adjustments upon departure Prepare and distribute timely and accurate operational reports to Charterers, Owners, Disponent Owners, terminals, and shippers Liaise with terminals, agents, service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient vessel operations Support and coordinate vessel bunkering calls when required Maintain clear, accurate, and organized communication using Outlook, Excel, Sedna, and other operational systems Monitor laytime-related events and maintain accurate operational data throughout the voyage Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and customer expectations Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality and operational efficiency Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as a Ship Operator, preferably handling tramp and bulk vessels Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel Experience with Sedna is considered an advantage Experience coordinating vessel operations involving bulk cargoes is highly desirable Understanding of port operations, vessel turnaround processes, and maritime documentation Skills & Competencies Strong operational coordination and organizational skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with international clients and counterparts Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation Ability to manage multiple vessels, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced operational environment Proactive, reliable, and results-oriented mindset Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders Professional, disciplined, and service-driven approach Nice to Have Basic knowledge of Chartering operations Basic knowledge of ANEC (Associação Nacional dos Exportadores de Cereais) procedures
