Site Manager, Substations & Data Centre Power Infrastructure

We're looking for a technically strong and proactive Site Manager who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and leading complex construction sites where quality and safety are non-negotiable. Purpose of the Role As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of electrical substation and data centre power infrastructure projects throughout Southern Finland. Working closely with the Project Manager, you'll oversee site execution from planning through completion, ensuring work progresses according to schedule, meets customer requirements, and complies with electrical standards and HSEQ requirements. This is a visible role where you'll coordinate subcontractors, supervise installation quality, solve challenges on site, and act as the key link between the project team, customers and partners. While the Project Manager is responsible for the commercial success of the project, you will be the person ensuring everything on site runs safely, efficiently and according to plan. Your responsibilities Lead daily site operations for electrical infrastructure projects Coordinate subcontractors and installation teams Ensure work complies with Finnish electrical standards (SFS 6000 series) and customer specifications Monitor quality, safety, schedules and site progress Identify risks and proactively solve issues before they impact delivery Participate in site meetings and communicate with customers, partners and project stakeholders Support the Project Manager with planning, reporting and project execution Ensure HSEQ requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle Help maintain Eltel's high standards of workmanship and safety across every project What we're looking for We're looking for someone who combines strong technical understanding with practical leadership skills. You don't necessarily need decades of experience, we're equally interested in ambitious professionals who have already gained responsibility on construction sites and are ready to take the next step in their career. Ideally you have: Background in electrical engineering or electrical construction Bachelor's level degree in electrical or construction engineering Experience supervising construction sites, installation teams or subcontractors Good understanding of electrical substations, power distribution or high-voltage infrastructure Ability to interpret technical documentation, standards and specifications Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep multiple workstreams moving simultaneously Excellent communication skills and confidence working with customers and contractors A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities Fluency in Finnish and good English skills It's an advantage if you have Experience with electrical substation construction Experience in data centre or infrastructure projects Knowledge of SFS 6000 standards S1 or S2 electrical qualification Experience working in large infrastructure, industrial or energy projects Location The role is based in Southern Finland. Project sites are primarily located across Southern Finland, and on-site presence is required. Why join Eltel?
