Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role located in WP Kuala Lumpur. The Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank and account reconciliations, and assisting with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis. The role also involves ensuring compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies, as well as supporting audits and preparing necessary documentation. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams and clients, provide clear financial insights, and help identify opportunities to improve processes and controls. Qualifications Strong skills in financial accounting and reporting, including general ledger maintenance and preparation of financial statements. Proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable management, and bank reconciliations. Experience with accounting software and tools (e.g., SQL-based systems, cloud accounting platforms, and Excel for financial analysis). Knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Ability to analyze financial data, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide clear, concise reports. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage. Prior experience in an accounting firm or similar professional environment is preferred.
