We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Bucharest . This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proactive approach to financial operations. Main Responsibilities: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Ensure BS accounts reconciled monthly Coordinate and complete the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes. Analyze financial information and summarize financial status to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes. Ensure compliance with local fiscal/legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. Advise management on needed actions. Develop and implement efficient and effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Support budget and forecasting activities and provide variances analysis. Lead and participate in financial audits, providing necessary documentation and responses to auditors. Assist with tax preparation, planning, and compliance. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely information flow and to support overall business objectives. Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. What makes you stand out: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role. SAP knowledge all modules or minimum GL is a must Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements. Strong English for international collaboration. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High level of integrity and professionalism.
