You will apply your knowledge of Python, FastAPI and REST APIs to build scalable backend services and modern web applications. You will also work with AWS, CI/CD and modern frontend technologies to ensure reliable and continuous delivery. How do we make this happen? 🤔 With people. Strong experience with Python, FastAPI and REST APIs, with additional exposure to Java or Node.js. Experience with Angular or React and TypeScript, JavaScript and HTML/CSS. Solid knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3 and CloudWatch, together with CloudFormation. Experience with Git, Jenkins, OpenShift or Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines, plus knowledge of software architecture principles. You will be responsible for designing and developing backend services, APIs and cloud-native applications with a strong focus on Python. You will also develop web functionalities, integrate enterprise applications with cloud services and APIs, and support development, test and production environments. You will participate in troubleshooting, incident resolution, continuous improvement, documentation and knowledge-sharing activities. What if the project ends?😅 We work on a wide variety of projects, technologies, and sectors, allowing you to keep growing in different environments. If a project ends or you feel ready for a new challenge, we will find another one that aligns with your professional development. Our working model 👩🔬 We ask you to be available for key meetings. Need to leave for a doctor’s appointment or to pick up your child from school? No problem. We trust you to deliver quality work within your 40-hour workweek. Our model is hybrid: we usually go to the office 2 days a week, though this depends on the project and team, but we love seeing each other’s faces; the best stories always happen in the office! That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
