Role Description The Registered Staff Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to inpatients and outpatients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing IV lines, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation as per hospital protocols. The nurse will collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals, educate patients and families on treatment plans, and support infection control and safety standards. The role also involves responding to emergencies, participating in shift handovers, and ensuring high-quality, compassionate care in all interactions. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Karunya Hospitals in Coimbatore, requiring flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications Valid registration with the appropriate nursing council and completion of B.Sc Nursing or GNM. Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, basic nursing procedures, medication administration, and post-operative care. Knowledge of hospital protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety guidelines, with the ability to follow evidence-based standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and to educate patients and families. Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate, detailed nursing records and reports. Comfort with using basic hospital information systems and electronic medical records, or willingness to learn. Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all aspects of patient care. Previous hospital or clinical experience is preferred; fresh graduates with strong clinical training are also encouraged to apply.
