Position: Software Engineer/Senior Software Engineer Location: Jaipur About the Role At Axestrack, we are building next-generation AI-powered systems in the logistics and mobility space. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications, working across the backend, frontend, and data layers to ship production-grade solutions. This is a high-ownership, engineering-first role where you will build robust systems end-to-end. You will be expected to work in an AI-assisted development environment (Cursor) , using AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and delivery, without compromising on engineering rigor, code quality, or system design fundamentals. We strongly prefer candidates from IITs and BITS Pilani, and other Tier-1 engineering institutes with strong Computer Science fundamentals and a bias for execution. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Angular and Spring Boot Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA and product managers Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning Work on RESTful API development and integration Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner Use AI-assisted development tools like Cursor to speed up coding, refactoring, and debugging while maintaining code quality Stay updated with emerging technologies, AI-assisted coding practices, and industry trends What We're Looking For B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science or related field from Tier-1 institutes with JEE Mains and Advance rank below 1000 2+ year of hands-on experience in software development Strong foundation in Data Structures & Algorithms and problem solving Solid understanding of core CS fundamentals (OS, DBMS, Networks basics) Ability to break down complex problems and think in systems High ownership mindset and ability to work in fast-paced environments Mandatory Skills Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and object-oriented programming concepts Strong knowledge of Angular with best practices Familiarity with REST APIs, WebSockets, and microservices architecture Good understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) Good understanding of caching using Redis and Caffeine Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins Knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of Cursor (AI-assisted IDE) or similar AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, etc.) Ability to effectively prompt, review, and validate AI-generated code rather than accepting it blindly Strong Signals (Highly Preferred) Active participation in competitive programming (Codeforces, LeetCode, etc.) Experience in hackathons, product builds, or open-source contributions Exposure to system design basics and scalable architectures Experience building and deploying full-stack projects (0→1 experience) Demonstrated productivity gains from using AI-assisted development tools like Cursor in real projects Comfort rapidly prototyping features end-to-end using AI pair-programming workflows
