Teaching Chef (Pastry) About the Role We are looking for a passionate and experienced Teaching Chef (Pastry) to join our academic culinary team in Lima, Peru . This is a full-time position combining technical excellence with mentorship, guiding students through both theoretical knowledge and hands-on training in a professional kitchen environment. The Teaching Chef plays a key role in shaping the next generation of culinary professionals while upholding the highest standards of quality, discipline, and food safety. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging theoretical and practical pastry classes aligned with the approved curriculum. Prepare demonstrations, practical sessions, assessments, and academic materials. Ensure consistency between recipes, yields, technical sheets, and ingredient requisitions. Supervise students during pastry practical sessions, ensuring proper technique, hygiene, organization, and professional conduct. Apply and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP standards. Evaluate student performance through continuous and final assessments. Monitor attendance and academic progress, and provide constructive technical feedback. Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and institutional events. Represent the institution professionally in academic and promotional activities when required. What We’re Looking For Formal training in french Pastry from a recognized institution. Minimum 10 years of professional experience after graduation . At least 3 years of experience in a senior pastry leadership position , overseeing pastry operations and teams. Experience in recognized restaurants, 4- or 5-star hotels, luxury hospitality, or other high-performance culinary environments is a must . Strong leadership and communication skills in practical learning environments. Solid knowledge of classical and contemporary French pastry techniques. Thorough understanding of kitchen safety, GMP, and HACCP systems. International experience and/or prior teaching experience will be highly valued. Professional working proficiency in Spanish . Additional Requirements This is a full-time, on-site position based in Lima, Peru . The ideal candidate must be available to relocate to Lima, Peru . As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will be required to successfully complete a practical technical skills assessment .
