Scrum master

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile teams working on the design, implementation, and modification of IT Applications for a global customer in the United States. This position will be part of our Nearshore delivery team in Uruguay , collaborating with onsite, nearshore, and offshore locations through our global network delivery model. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in distributed environments and is passionate about servant leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 🌎 We will consider applications from candidates located anywhere in Brazil , as long as they have the availability and ability to collaborate with our Nearshore team in Uruguay and global distributed teams. Key responsibilities Act as the primary interface with customer managers, Product Owners, and key stakeholders. Coach and mentor Scrum teams in Agile practices, transparency, and continuous improvement. Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Support Product Owners in creating and prioritizing user stories, acceptance criteria, product backlogs, defect backlogs, and release plans. Identify and manage risks, impediments, dependencies, and blockers. Ensure teams work effectively toward Sprint goals. Monitor throughput and team velocity. Facilitate discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution. Promote collaboration among Product Owners, external teams, Business Analysts, and technical teams. Support project planning and help ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and technical requirements. Improve internal and external communication, visibility, and transparency. Translate Agile metrics into meaningful business decisions and priorities. Requirements At least 5 years of Scrum experience , or 5–7 years of IT experience , including 2–3 years in the Scrum Master role . Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field is preferred. Solid knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps practices. Experience with Agile Lifecycle Management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, VSTS, or TFS . Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to collaborate with diverse personality types and distributed teams. Strong leadership, facilitation, time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Ability to guide teams through servant leadership, situational awareness, empowerment, and continuous improvement. Knowledge of Scrum patterns and techniques, including burndown approaches, retrospective formats, defect management, and transparency practices. CSM or PSM certification is desirable. Nice to have Experience leading large epics or projects in a scaled Agile environment. Previous program management experience within the IT industry.
