Investment Analyst - Family Office

Location: Chennai Work Mode: 5 days | Hybrid About the Role A Chennai-based family office is hiring an analyst to research and evaluate investment opportunities across multiple asset classes including derivatives, real estate, public and private markets, across domestic and international. What You'll Work On Research investment opportunities, companies, sectors, and market trends across real estate, derivatives, public private markets, and other potential asset classes in India and abroad Build financial models and run the quantitative work behind investment decisions Track derivatives and other instruments to read positioning and market movement Go deep on two or three sectors and become the house expert on them Write investment notes and research memos for Investment Committee discussion — tight, structured, and ending in a recommendation Monitor the existing portfolio, along with the macro and market developments that move it Support diligence on new opportunities What We're Looking For 3–6 years in equity research, investment research, consulting, VC / PE or family office fund. Strong financial modelling and quantitative skills Working knowledge of public and private markets, and exposure to derivatives The ability to take a position and defend it — with the reasoning legible, the assumptions stated, and the downside acknowledged Writing that is crisp and structured; this role is judged substantially on the quality of its memos The temperament to sit with multiple asset classes, simultaneously and depth to get into one sector long enough to know it properly, Comfort presenting to senior stakeholders Ideal Profile Someone genuinely curious about how businesses make money, who reads widely and connects things that aren't obviously connected. Someone who would rather be right than agreeable, and who can tell the difference between a good company and a good investment.
