Role Description The Government Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Irving, TX, responsible for managing and growing government accounts within the assigned territory. This position involves overseeing day-to-day account activities, including responding to inquiries, coordinating orders, and ensuring service delivery that meets contract requirements and customer expectations. The role includes developing account plans, conducting regular customer visits, preparing and delivering sales presentations, and identifying opportunities to expand product and service offerings. The Government Account Manager will collaborate with internal teams to support pricing, proposals, and contract compliance, while maintaining accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and account performance. This role also requires monitoring market trends and government procurement processes to support long-term account growth and customer satisfaction. QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor's Degree Business, Technical, and/or Sales Related Degree required Work Experience 4-6 years Sales/Account Management, Industrial Gases is Preferred 1-3 years Sales/Account Management, Industrial Gases is Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must be computer literate and have experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous account management experience is recommended Knowledge of governmental and municipal bidding and contract processes is a plus. Must be able to work in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment.
