One of our American Clients is looking for a dynamic, driven, and connection-minded Event Sales Executive to own revenue across our live event and sponsorship portfolio. In this role, you will build relationships with CEOs, C-suite executives, and business owners across 18+ U.S. markets selling full-day business conferences and national sponsorship packages that put caa’s clients at the center of the connection economy. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting new people, closing complex deals, and working in an environment that moves fast. Why this role matters: As an Event Sales is one of the engines that powers the connection economy at caa. Every sponsorship you close and every conference seat you fill is a direct investment in the local business communities we serve across the country. You are not just hitting a number — you are the reason business leaders in markets from coast to coast walk into a room full of the right people. That is what caa was built to do, and this role is at the center of it. Key responsibilities • Own the full sales cycle for event sponsorships and conference ticket sales across 18+ markets from first outreach to signed contract. • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of national, regional, and local accounts through outbound calls, email, LinkedIn, and networking. • Target and engage CEOs, C-suite executives, and business owners — lead 10–15+ sales meetings per week with senior-level decision makers. • Present tailored sponsorship and conference proposals that connect a client’s business goals to caa’s event portfolio. • Partner with the marketing team on event campaigns and email initiatives that support pipeline activity. • Maintain accurate CRM records and track leads, pipeline, and activity against clear performance benchmarks. • Travel as needed to attend caa events, networking functions, and client meetings across the U.S. • Deliver on revenue targets and share wins with a team that celebrates results. What you bring • 4–6 years of experience in event sponsorship sales, B2B media sales, or a closely related field. (Required) • A proven record of selling to and closing senior-level executives. (Required) • Strong communication and negotiation skills — you can build credibility fast and hold your own in a room with a CFO. (Required) • You genuinely enjoy connecting people and building relationships — not just moving them through a funnel. (Required) • Comfort working in a remote, fast-moving environment with clear expectations and high accountability. (Required) • Experience with CRM systems and a disciplined approach to pipeline management. (Required) • Exposure to business journalism, B2B publishing, or regional business media. (Nice to have) • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. (Preferred)

WorkMundi's database shows 74,689 open sales positions globally. India leads with 17,483 jobs, followed by the US with 13,876. If you're open to geography, you have real options — but the sheer number means you need a filter. Don't apply to everything. Pick a country, a company size, and a sales model that matches what you actually want to do.

Almost 8 in 10 of these ads have their text written in English. That's useful for reading the job description and understanding what you're signing up for. But it tells you nothing about whether the role requires you to speak English with customers, partners, or your team. Ask the hiring manager directly during your first conversation.

The employers posting the most are boxlunch, SIMPLE RECRUIT, FlexBoard, and tmobile. If you see their name on a listing, you know they're actively hiring. That can work in your favor — high-volume recruiters often move faster. But volume also means competition. Your application needs to stand out.

Sales interviews almost always include a version of this: 'Tell me about a time you lost a deal. What did you learn?' Prepare a real story where you take ownership of what went wrong and what you'd do differently. Hiring managers want to see you learn, not just win.
