Job Title: Lead Developer – GenAI, Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence Location: West Sacramento, CA (Hybrid/2-3 days per week) Job Type: 1+ Year Contract About the Role We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer to lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of enterprise-scale Investment Data Warehouse (IDW) solutions with advanced Generative AI (GenAI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Business Intelligence (BI) capabilities. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for the development of data-driven solutions that enable advanced analytics, natural language querying, predictive insights, and automated decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse solutions. Architect and develop AI/ML and Generative AI-powered analytics solutions. Build and maintain data pipelines using ETL/ELT technologies. Design and develop semantic data models, dashboards, APIs, and analytics products. Implement and optimize natural language to SQL/query solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs). Lead prompt engineering initiatives to improve GenAI solution performance and reliability. Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and development teams to define requirements and deliver business solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and analysts. Ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of BI and AI solutions. Support cloud-based data platforms and orchestration tools including Snowflake, Redshift, Airflow, and dbt. Drive best practices in data architecture, AI governance, analytics, and software development lifecycle processes. Mandatory Qualifications Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Warehousing. Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams of at least three members in delivering enterprise-level BI or large-scale Data Warehouse projects. Minimum 5 years of experience working with AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI technologies. Proven delivery of at least two production-grade BI or Data products , including dashboards, APIs, semantic models, or analytics solutions. Minimum 2 years of experience with: ETL/ELT pipelines Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or similar cloud data warehouse platforms Airflow, dbt, or similar orchestration tools Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with: OpenAI APIs or similar LLM platforms Prompt engineering Natural Language to SQL/query systems AI-powered analytics solutions Strong expertise in: SQL performance tuning Advanced joins and window functions Data modeling (Star Schema and Snowflake Schema) Semantic layer design BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Experience leading stakeholders through requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, and implementation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline. Industry certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect AWS Data Analytics Certifications Snowflake Certifications Microsoft Power BI Certifications Tableau Certifications AI/ML or Generative AI Certifications Experience developing GenBI (Generative Business Intelligence) solutions. Experience working within financial services, investment management, pension funds, or highly regulated environments. Experience with cloud architectures and data platforms.
