Long-term opportunity with a rapidly growing company! Responsibilities Operate in a 50% architecture / 50% hands-on technical leadership capacity—setting enterprise data architecture and strategy while staying close to the code to help development teams troubleshoot issues and solve complex technical challenges. Architect modern data platforms, including data models, lakes, warehouses, and streaming/batch pipelines using Databricks, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, and Delta Lake. Design semantic models and ontology frameworks using OWL, RDF, and SPARQL, integrating structured and unstructured data for analytics and AI. Build and optimize high-volume ETL/ELT and telemetry pipelines using Spark, Python, and SQL. Establish standards for data quality, lineage, metadata, governance, and observability. Help architect and prototype AI/agentic AI solutions, including orchestration frameworks and semantic data capabilities. This is a direct-hire opportunity in Atlanta. Work onsite 2 days per week (Tuesday/Wednesday) and 3 days remotely with flex hours. Required Skills 10+ years of enterprise data architecture/engineering experience with progression to a Principal Architect, Principal Data Architect, or comparable technical leadership role Strong expertise across the Microsoft/Azure data stack, including SQL Server, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Purview Hands-on experience with semantic modeling, OWL, RDF, and SPARQL Strong proficiency with Python, Spark, and SQL Experience with modern AI frameworks or AI-enabled data architectures Bachelor's degree Preferred Skills Deep understanding of ontologies, knowledge graphs, data lineage, metadata, and catalogs Experience with agentic AI frameworks, vector databases, or semantic telemetry Experience implementing ontology-driven architecture across teams or business domains Experience in regulated or data-intensive industries such as Healthcare, Pharma, Food/Agriculture, Banking, or Utilities Must be authorized to work in the US.
