Job Title: Senior Network QA Engineer Location: Edwardsville, IL Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM Work Arrangement: Onsite (5 Days/Week) Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Network QA Engineer with senior-level network engineering or architect experience to lead quality assurance, process ownership, and documentation excellence for a large-scale, multi-vendor network deployment environment. This is not a hands-on configuration role. Instead, this position is ideal for an experienced network professional who has spent years deploying circuits, firewalls, and enterprise routing/switching solutions and is now ready to apply that expertise through technical oversight, quality assurance, documentation ownership, and process improvement initiatives. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to improve consistency, prevent defects, and ensure network devices and deployments meet documented standards before implementation. Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance & Technical Oversight Perform pre-deployment quality assurance reviews of network device configurations across multiple technologies and platforms Serve as the final technical quality checkpoint prior to deployment or shipment Validate configurations against established runbooks, standards, and documented requirements Identify errors, omissions, and deviations from standards Provide real-time guidance and procedural support during staging and deployment activities without directly performing configurations Runbook & Process Ownership Review, validate, and continuously improve technical runbooks supporting the device deployment lifecycle Ensure procedures and standards remain current, accurate, and scalable Update documentation and processes as issues are identified to capture lessons learned and reduce repeat issues Drive change-control discipline by documenting, reviewing, and approving process deviations Technical Documentation & Knowledge Management Develop and maintain clear technical documentation that teams can easily follow Create templates, checklists, and reference materials to improve consistency and reduce operational risk Document systems, workflows, and technical dependencies supporting deployment processes Support continuous process improvement initiatives Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration Communicate quality status, deployment readiness, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders Partner with engineering, project management, and operations teams throughout the deployment lifecycle Provide written and verbal updates on findings, risks, and remediation activities Support knowledge sharing and mentor team members on quality standards and best practices Required Qualifications 8+ years of progressive network engineering experience, including senior-level engineering or architecture responsibilities Experience in one or more of the following: Runbook creation, ownership, and execution Technical documentation development Quality assurance or quality process ownership within network environments Experience supporting one or more of the following: Large-scale circuit deployments (DIA, WAN, cellular, etc.) Enterprise firewall deployments Enterprise routing and switching implementations Strong understanding of: Routing and switching VLAN design Network circuits and connectivity Centralized network management platforms Change management and process controls Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to identify and resolve process gaps and technical quality issues Strong attention to detail and customer-focused mindset Preferred Qualifications Experience with centralized network management platforms such as FortiManager or similar technologies Familiarity with technologies including: Fortinet Juniper Cradlepoint Experience supporting large-scale, repeatable deployment initiatives Experience working within highly regulated or enterprise environments What Success Looks Like Configuration defects are identified before deployment Documentation and runbooks remain accurate and trusted Teams consistently follow established processes and standards Process improvements reduce deployment risk and increase efficiency Root causes are quickly identified and incorporated into future process improvements Additional Information Candidates must be eligible to work on a W-2 basis No Corp-to-Corp (C2C) Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
