Operations Manager

Operations Manager | Up to R 850 000.00 | Bryanston The company is not looking for a traditional accountant who only does reporting, journals and month-end . They want a young CA(SA) with strong commercial & operations instincts who can understand the numbers and use them to help run and grow the business. The company is looking for someone who can sit between Finance, Operations, Commercial, Technology and Management . Minimum Requirements BCom Accounting, Finance or similar qualification. CA(SA) qualification is essential. Approximately 1–3 years' post-articles experience . Strong commercial acumen. Excellent understanding of financial information and business performance. Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and customers. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. High levels of initiative and ownership. Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience using Sage or exposure to ERP systems would be advantageous. Key Responsibilities Finance & Commercial Analyse and understand the financial performance of the business. Provide meaningful financial and commercial insights to management. Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Assist management with commercial decision-making. Understand the financial impact of operational and strategic decisions. Work with the relevant teams to ensure the financial health of the business. Operations & Business Management Take ownership of key operational processes. Work closely with management to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business. Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions. Improve processes, systems and efficiencies across the business. Work across multiple departments and ensure effective collaboration. Customer & Commercial Engagement Participate in customer and commercial discussions. Build an understanding of customer needs and commercial requirements. Support client-facing discussions where required. Assist in evaluating commercial opportunities and partnerships. Understand the commercial impact of customer agreements and business decisions. Legal, Compliance & Governance Assist with legal, compliance and governance requirements. Ensure appropriate financial and operational controls are in place. Work with internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance matters. Support the business in maintaining strong governance and risk management practices. Technology & Product Work closely with internal technology and development teams. Develop a strong understanding of the company's products and technology solutions. Assist with business and operational requirements relating to products. Potentially take ownership of product-related initiatives. Act as a bridge between business, commercial, operational and technology teams. Gain exposure to a Product Owner-type environment.
