For our client, we are seeking a Principal Kubernetes Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a Aerospace & Defense environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $175,000 – $250,000 annually Responsibilities Design and operate secure enterprise Kubernetes platforms for hybrid cloud environments Architect resilient platform services to facilitate secure software delivery Develop reusable capabilities for simplifying application deployment and management Implement automation and continuous delivery to enhance platform reliability Engineer secure Kubernetes services focused on management and security features Troubleshoot complex issues across Kubernetes and various infrastructures Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive platform solutions Qualifications Active Secret clearance at the time of application Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline related to Computer Science or Software Engineering Minimum of 6 years of experience with production Kubernetes platforms Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent Proven experience in secure enterprise Kubernetes platform operations Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native infrastructure practices Benefits Health insurance Flexible spending accounts Health savings accounts Retirement savings plans Life and disability insurance Paid and unpaid time off options Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
