Our client is China MNC eCommerce company Budget - up to S$14,000 per month Position 1: Java Backend Engineer – Financial Systems Responsibilities Develop and maintain the core modules of the App's financial systems, including the checkout platform, payment gateway, payment channels, settlement, and financial systems. Write high-quality code to implement product features, deliver project development, prepare technical documentation, and participate in requirements analysis. Assist in resolving complex technical challenges, contribute to technical architecture and solution selection, optimize system performance, and support troubleshooting throughout the software development lifecycle. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
