Position : Network Engineer Location : Cyberjaya, Sepang / KLIA, Sepang Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Networking. Master’s Degree in Networking is a plus. Experience : Min 3 years of experience in network engineering, network administration, or a similar role. Proven experience with Cisco networking technologies and solutions. Sonovision Malaysia is seeking a skilled Network Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on networking experience to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and be capable of managing LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and network security solutions to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: · Design, deploy, configure and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. · Manage and support LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN and Internet connectivity. · Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and wireless controllers. · Monitor network performance and perform proactive capacity planning. · Investigate and resolve network incidents, outages and performance issues. · Implement network security policies and best practices. · Perform network upgrades, firmware updates and infrastructure improvements. · Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams and operating procedures. · Collaborate with system administrators, security teams, vendors and business stakeholders. · Support disaster recovery, business continuity and high-availability network solutions. · Participate in after-hours maintenance activities and on-call support when required. Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of: · TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, NAT, and subnetting · Routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP · Network switching technologies including STP and EtherChannel · VPN technologies (Site-to-Site and Remote Access) · Wireless networking technologies · Network monitoring and troubleshooting tools · Firewall and network security concepts Hands-on experience with: · Cisco Routers and Switches · Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms · Cisco Wireless Solutions · Cisco ASA, Firepower, or equivalent security products Soft Skills: · Plan, adapt and coordinate change management activities to ensure smooth implementation of operational and technology changes Preferred Qualifications: Professional certifications are highly desirable: · CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) · CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) · Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is an added advantage. · Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar tools) is a plus.
