The team has extensive experience delivering award-winning projects, primarily in Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, and Southeast Asia. Talent joining MCL will be part of a growing practice with regional impact and a strong design-driven culture. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hong Kong SAR for an Interior Design Director/Associate/Senior Interior Designer. The position involves leading and developing interior design concepts, guiding project teams, and ensuring design quality from concept through construction. Responsibilities include coordinating with architects and consultants, preparing and reviewing design presentations, construction drawings, and specifications, and overseeing project schedules and deliverables. The role also requires regular client communication, participation in design reviews, and support in business development activities such as proposals and presentations. The successful candidate will help mentor junior designers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design standards and workflows within the office. Qualifications Strong Interior Design expertise, including concept development, space planning, and material selection. Proficiency in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Experience in Design Management, including leading project teams, coordinating stakeholders, and managing timelines and resources. Solid understanding of Construction Drawings and technical detailing, ensuring design intent is accurately translated into built work. Bachelor’s degree or above in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline. Proficiency in relevant design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite) is highly beneficial. Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to articulate design ideas clearly. Experience with projects in Hong Kong SAR, Mainland China, or Southeast Asia and familiarity with local codes and regulations is an advantage.
