We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic engineer for our Site Reliability & DevSecOps Engineering teams in the Simulation, Integration and Test Department with a passion for launching hardware into space and a desire to revolutionize the space industry. Our ideal candidate thrives in a highly collaborative environment and enjoys finding ways to innovate and make processes more efficient. We are seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to support mission‑critical integration, testing, and production environments across both on‑premises and cloud infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining high‑availability CI/CD systems, product deployment infrastructure, ensuring reliable delivery of software to all deployed systems and driving automation to improve resilience and operational excellence. The ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced engineering environments and takes ownership of the full lifecycle of product release and deployment. We treat deployment infrastructure as a product. It is incredibly important for scalability and reliability of the vast amount of software we develop and deploy. It can also contain bugs, so it should be treated the same as any other products we develop. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you are also a software engineer following our product development lifecycle. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support software delivery across multiple teams Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code for automated, repeatable deployments Design, build, and maintain monitoring dashboards for tracking deployments Support and troubleshoot cloud and on-prem CI/CD infrastructure Deploy, configure, and maintain software across a large fleet of Linux systems Support automatic installs of software onto flight hardware Create deployment architecture for air-gapped facilities Collaborate closely with internal product teams Implement and maintain security baselines and hardening standards across infrastructure Support SAST/SCA pipelines Help administer and secure cloud infrastructure through Terraform, Ansible and Azure Support deployment of fleet wide monitoring tools for environments Collaborate with adjacent infrastructure and reliability teams to keep tooling and practices aligned Qualifications 4+ years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, systems engineering, or a related infrastructure/automation role Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Github Actions, Azure Pipelines, or similar) Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef) Comfortable administering Linux systems in a production or test environment Scripting experience in Python and/or Bash Strong familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) Familiarity with basic orchestration concepts (e.g., Kubernetes) Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a collaborative, Agile environment Active security clearance or ability to obtain Desired Qualifications Experience with software engineering (design, build, test, deploy) Experience with a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Experience with Gitlab and AWX Experience with application security scanning tools (SAST/SCA) Experience deploying software into air-gapped, classified, or otherwise restricted environments Exposure to Kubernetes resource management or custom controllers Experience working in defense, aerospace, or another regulated industry Benefits In addition to compensation, York Space Systems is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance along with PTO and a 401K. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
