Job Description And Duties The Analyst II is responsible for fulfilling a variety of extensive analytical, research, and programmatic assignments related to California’s developmental disabilities service delivery system and federally funded programs. The position analyzes federal funding requirements, billing and eligibility systems, claiming and reimbursement methodologies, provider qualifications, rate methodologies, and program expenditures to ensure compliance and maximize federal financial participation. The Analyst II conducts research, analyzes data using Excel and Power BI worksheets and dashboards, prepares reports and claims, manages databases, provides technical assistance to regional centers and Department of Developmental Services staff, and develops recommendations related to federal funding, program operations, legislation, regulations, and budget proposals. Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three percent in exchange for five hours per month of the Personal Leave. These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers. The regional centers serve as a local resource to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
