Team members are expected to deliver attentive, guest-focused service that is accommodating yet unobtrusive, creating memorable experiences for clients and guests. Role Description The Event Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. This role is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing high-quality menus for events, including private functions, corporate gatherings, and large-scale productions. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating on menu design, sourcing and organizing ingredients, overseeing food preparation and presentation, and ensuring consistent flavor and quality standards. The Event Chef will coordinate with event planners, kitchen staff, and service teams to maintain efficient operations and timely service. The role also involves maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, managing kitchen equipment, and contributing to creative culinary concepts that align with Creative Edge Parties’ brand. Qualifications Strong culinary skills in menu planning, food preparation, and plating for events, with experience in high-volume or catering environments. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices, including compliance with local health regulations. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced event settings, including time management, multitasking, and problem-solving under pressure. Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills for working with kitchen teams, event planners, and front-of-house staff. Creativity in developing and presenting dishes that reflect both aesthetic design and exceptional taste. Prior experience as an Event Chef, Catering Chef, or similar role is highly preferred. Culinary degree or formal culinary training is beneficial but not required with strong relevant experience. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules, and ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
