Senior DevOps Engineer We are looking for motivated Candidates to join our team, working on building automated CI/CD pipelines, supporting migration of applications from on-prem to Google Cloud, delivering concepts for policy-as-code in GCP. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-availability infrastructure on GCP Cloud platform Manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform. Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth, efficient and reliable data workload releases using GitHub Actions Deliver high quality software and to be passionate about software engineering Automate repetitive tasks and process to improve efficiency and reduce errors. Develop and maintain scripts for infrastructure automation, monitoring and deployments Implement and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure and deployment processes Understand the SDLC process and controls (policies) Design/Implement automated CI/CD pipelines to satisfy and close the SDLC Controls Support PB teams to get onboarded to Google Cloud and GitHub Support PB teams to configure and implement the pipelines Document knowledge base articles and other materials as required Technical Skills: Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code - Terraform (must) Proficiency in cloud platforms such Google Cloud (preferred), AWS or Azure Usage of enterprise Security Management solutions including GCP Secret Manager Experience in CI/CD tools GitHub Actions – CI/CD experience would be a plus Experience with Docker/Kubernetes (creating images, deployments) Experience into developing Helm Charts ( templates, hooks, packaging) Exposure to delivering good quality code within enterprise scale development Working knowledge of environment monitoring tools such as GCO, NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana Strong experience in software development processes, models, lifecycles and methodologies. Expert hands-on experience with service-mesh technology such as Istio or similar products Experience in software development and scripting in at least one language (Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, Bash) Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels of project team; Prioritizes and manages time to deliver on commitments; Multiple languages preferred (English is mandatory, German is a plus); Experience working in an international environment.

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
