We are seeking a Chief Full-Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java and GCP to join our organization. This position provides the chance to contribute to modern commerce systems while steering technical decisions that will define the future of our platform. If you find satisfaction in resolving demanding problems and bringing order to complex environments, we would be glad to hear from you. Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend services supporting payment, loyalty, promotion, and other commerce domain systems Facilitate AI-driven checkout flows equipped with appropriate validations and safeguards Guarantee scalability, reliability, and compliance across all systems Work alongside cross-functional teams to shape technical solutions that support business objectives Take part in code reviews to uphold strong standards for quality, performance, and security Help shape architectural decisions that promote long-term system growth and stability Identify and resolve intricate production issues promptly Guide team members and support their ongoing technical growth Requirements At least 7 years of relevant experience A minimum of 2 years of experience leading and managing teams Solid backend development background with Java and Spring Boot Proven production experience building Front-End components using React.JS Familiarity with Anthropic Claude Code Skilled in building REST APIs and microservices Exposure to AI-assisted or agent-based workflows and backend integrations Openness to learning and adapting to new tools, patterns, and technologies Cloud experience with GCP and/or Azure Availability to work with overlapping hours in US Pacific Time English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication abilities Nice to have CCA-F certification Experience with Apigee Familiarity with JavaScript backend platforms We offer International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Healthcare benefits Employee financial programs Paid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunities EPAM Employee Groups Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
