We are looking for a Lead Full-Stack Developer with deep expertise in Java and GCP to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on modern commerce systems while guiding technical decisions that shape the future of our platform. If you enjoy solving challenging problems and bringing structure to complex environments, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Build and support backend services for payment, loyalty, promotion, and other commerce domain systems Enable AI-driven checkout flows with proper validations and guardrails Ensure scalability, reliability, and compliance across systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions aligned with business goals Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of quality, performance, and security Contribute to architectural decisions that support long-term system growth and stability Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues in a timely manner Mentor team members and support their technical development Requirements A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience At least one year of experience leading and managing teams Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot Existing production experience developing Front-End components using React.JS Familiarity with Anthropic Claude Code Proficiency in building REST APIs and microservices Exposure to AI-assisted or agent-based workflows and backend integrations A willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, patterns, and technologies Cloud experience with GCP and/or Azure Availability to work with overlap into US Pacific Time English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills Nice to have CCA-F certification Experience with Apigee Familiarity with JavaScript backend platforms We offer International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Healthcare benefits Employee financial programs Paid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunities EPAM Employee Groups Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
