Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Nurse role based at 24hrs CM Hospital in Chennai. The Nurse will provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and documenting care in patient records. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, preparing patients for diagnostic tests, and ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and infection control standards. The Nurse will educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance, while responding promptly to changes in patient condition. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment, participating in shift handovers, and contributing to continuous improvement in patient care. Qualifications Recognized nursing qualification (ANM,GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or equivalent) and valid nursing registration with the appropriate council. Experience in hospital-based patient care, preferably in medical, surgical, emergency, or ICU settings. Strong clinical assessment skills, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications safely, and assisting with procedures. Ability to maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and follow hospital protocols and infection control guidelines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Capability to work rotating shifts, manage multiple patients, and remain calm in high-pressure or emergency situations. Commitment to ethical practice, patient confidentiality, and respect for diverse backgrounds and needs. Willingness to participate in ongoing training, skill development, and quality improvement initiatives. Basic computer skills to use hospital information systems and electronic medical records are an advantage. Prior experience in a 24-hour or acute care hospital setting in Chennai or similar environment is beneficial.
