Area(s) of responsibility Job Title: Senior Scrum Master Experience: 12–15 years Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives), ensuring clear objectives, time-boxing and actionable outcomes. Coach multiple teams on Scrum and Agile principles, tailoring approaches (Kanban, XP, SAFe) to each context. Shield teams from external distractions, surface blockers early and work across functions to resolve impediments swiftly. Partner with Product Owners to groom and prioritize backlogs, split epics into well-defined user stories and ensure “Definition of Done” clarity. Track, analyze and report Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down/up charts, cycle time, lead time) to drive data-informed decisions. Lead cross-team Scrum-of-Scrums for large programs; identify dependencies, risks and escalation paths. Foster a culture of continuous improvement with regular inspect-and-adapt workshops, Kaizen events and “fail-fast” experiments. Mentor junior Scrum Masters and Agile champions; evangelize best practices through workshops, brown-bags and coaching circles. Collaborate with PMO/PMs to align Agile cadences with release trains, financial forecasts and governance requirements. Advocate for Agile at the leadership level—share success stories, ROI data and roadblocks to secure ongoing investment.
