Manager– Treasury & Banking Operations Department: Finance & Accounts Location: Head Office, Kolkata Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Company: Shyam Metalics No of Vacancies: 2 Job Summary The role is responsible for managing treasury operations, banking relationships, fund optimization, and trade finance activities. The incumbent will ensure efficient cash flow management, optimal utilization of banking facilities, and maximization of returns on surplus funds while maintaining compliance with internal and external financial regulations. Key Responsibilities Manage daily treasury operations including cash flow planning, fund allocation, and liquidity management across business units.Prepare and monitor Banking & Treasury MIS reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights for senior management.Liaise with multiple banks for management of fund-based and non-fund-based limits, including sanction, renewal, documentation, and compliance.Track utilization of banking limits and ensure optimal usage aligned with business requirements.Negotiate interest rates, charges, and banking terms to minimize finance costs and improve efficiency.Manage trade finance operations including issuance and tracking of Bank Guarantees (BGs) and Letters of Credit (LCs). Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Accounts, Procurement, Commercial, Plant Finance) for smooth execution of treasury transactions.Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance in all treasury and banking activities.Maintain strong banking relationships to support ongoing and future financing requirements. Key Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of treasury operations, fund management, and banking instruments.Proficiency in handling large-value investments and cash flow planning.Knowledge of trade finance instruments (BG, LC, etc.). Strong analytical and negotiation skills.Proficiency in SAP and advanced MS Excel. MandatoryHigh level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail. Qualification & Experience Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA Finance / B.Com with relevant experience.4–8 years of experience in treasury and banking operations, preferably in manufacturing or metals industry.
