Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Staff Nurse role (GNM and B.Sc Nursing) based at NK Hospital in Gulbarga. The Staff Nurse will provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Responsibilities include coordinating with doctors and allied health professionals, preparing patients and families for treatments, and supporting infection control and safety protocols. The role involves managing patient admissions and discharges, educating patients on post-discharge care, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies and nursing standards. Staff Nurses are expected to work in rotating shifts, respond to emergencies, and contribute to a supportive and respectful care environment. Qualifications Recognized qualification in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) from an accredited institution. Valid nursing registration with the appropriate nursing council and eligibility to practice in the region. Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and basic life support. Ability to work in multi-specialty settings such as cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, nephrology, oncology, and critical care. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in maintaining patient records, following infection control protocols, and adhering to hospital policies. Willingness to work in shifts, handle emergency situations, and adapt to fast-paced clinical environments. Compassionate, ethical, and patient-focused approach to care, with commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Prior experience in a hospital setting is preferred but motivated early-career professionals are encouraged to apply.
