Foundation FSSC is seeking a DevOps Engineer who can build Azure solutions that power global food safety certification for 40,000+ organizations worldwide. About the job (32-40 hours) As DevOps Engineer at Foundation FSSC, you'll be responsible for building and managing the Azure Assurance Platform infrastructure that supports their global certification schemes. Working hybrid and from ’s-Hertogenbosch , you'll combine development skills with infrastructure expertise designing .NET solutions while setting up and managing the Azure environment that enables development teams to build solutions for thousands of certified organizations worldwide. You'll collaborate with a dynamic IT team of approximately 22 professionals and report to the Manager Software Engineering & Architecture. Your role focus In this role, you balance platform reliability with engineering enablement. Your focus is roughly divided as follows: DevOps excellence (70%) You ensure a secure, scalable, and well-monitored Azure environment. By applying Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform and Bicep) and CI/CD practices (Azure DevOps), you create a reliable platform that development teams can build on with confidence. Solution design & engineering enablement (25%) FSSC has some services and utilities, built in .Net, which support the platform. The .Net knowledge is needed to enable project teams to work faster and more consistently, applying standard frameworks and sound design principles. Technical support & expertise (5%) You support project teams and second-line support with technical questions and incident resolution, acting as a trusted technical sparring partner. Your key responsibilities In your day-to-day work, this translates into the following responsibilities: Set up, manage, and expand Azure infrastructure for software development teams, including services such as Azure API Management, Azure Monitor, Entra ID, and Event Grid Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and Azure DevOps Design and develop cross-cutting .NET solutions together with the WEM Solution Designer, Front-end Technical Lead, and Architect Implement and manage authentication and authorization solutions using Entra ID and Entra External ID Ensure security best practices are applied, including OAuth2, OIDC, and OWASP guidelines Work closely with architects, development team members, and product owners to implement and deliver infrastructural changes Ensure proper documentation of infrastructure components being built or modified Monitor and optimize Azure capacity to ensure scalable, high-performing, and cost-efficient environments Provide technical guidance to project teams and second-line support on infrastructure-related topics This is where you will work Since 2009, Foundation FSSC has been the independent provider of Certification Schemes for ISO-aligned Management Systems. Almost 40,000 organizations worldwide, including premium A-brands, are certified to the FSSC 22000 Scheme for Food Safety. FSSC 24000 for Social Sustainability was published in 2022. Both Certification Programs contribute to FSSC's vision to create a better world by helping organizations achieve impact through the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This is what is required This vacancy is slightly different from the one FSSC recruited for in January 2026. We're looking for someone who combines technical depth with strong collaboration skills. You're analytical, proactive in raising concerns, and have a strong sense of ownership. You have proven experience coordinating DevOps activities, including task planning and operational updates, and thrive in a team-oriented, international environment. Fluent English communication is essential. Your essential technical qualifications and experience: 5+ years development experience (.Net/ C# strongly preferred) Microsoft Azure expertise including Integration solutions (API Management, EventGrid), Observability (Azure Monitor), and PaaS solutions (Container Apps, Function Apps, Azure Storage) Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Azure CLI proficiency for automation and scripting Identity and Access Management experience with Entra ID and Entra External ID Azure recourse management with Bicep Security knowledge of OAuth2, OIDC, and OWASP best practices Familiarity with no-code/low-code platforms such as WEM (nice to have) The offer If a healthy work-life balance and agile working within an international environment is top of your wish list, then as a DevOps Engineer at FSSC, you've come to the right place.
