At Hays, we are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer with solid experience across both frontend and backend development with strong experience with Python, Angular,AWS, and OpenShift/Kubernetes , including CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance to support the development projects for a leading global pharmaceutical company. What you will do Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications. Contribute to the definition of software architectures and development best practices. Develop and implement solutions across both frontend and backend environments. Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, QA, and Operations teams. Ensure software quality through testing, code reviews, and automation practices. Support the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and technical standards. Participate in the integration of services and the evolution of scalable architectures. What we are looking for 3+ years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer with strong focus in backend development. Strong experience with Python, Angular, AWS, and OpenShift/Kubernetes , including CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance. Knowledge of REST APIs , GraphQL , service integrations , and microservices architectures . Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases . Understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure , AWS , or GCP . Familiarity with DevOps practices , CI/CD pipelines , and Git version control . Ability to work effectively within Agile environments and cross-functional teams. Fluent/Advanced level of English to collaborate within international environments. Nice to Have Experience participating in large-scale digital transformation projects . Knowledge of application security , observability , and performance optimization . Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring other developers. What We Offer Permanent contract through Hays. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
