Roles and Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes using Jenkins/GitHub/DevSecOps functions. Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Administer and support cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) to ensure scalable, secure, and highly available environments. Create and maintain docker files, manifest files, and HELM Charts for different environments\orchestrators. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment activities. Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and deployment processes. Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks within CI/CD pipelines. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions for critical systems. Configure and manage web servers, application servers, and middleware components. Perform system troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution for production environments. Establish and enforce DevOps best practices, standards, and operational procedures. Required Skills Demonstrated ability to utilize modern monitoring tools (such as DataDog, Prometheus, or Splunk, …) Knowledge of WS Cloud DevOps services such as Jenkins, IAM, VPC, ECS, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, or similar technologies Knowledge of Docker containers and PaaS (such as Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher) highly desired. Hands-on Kubernetes skills and knowledge Expertise in Production support, including incident management, root cause analysis, real-time monitoring, and high availability and reliability of critical systems in a fast-paced environment. Experience engineering/sizing, installing, configuring, and maintaining mission critical applications. Hands-on Azure Active Directory experience Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues in the cloud. The starting pay range for this role is $102,675-$136,900. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
