We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d) to join our Finance team at our facility in Feldkirchen, Austria. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing general ledger accounting, preparing financial statements in accordance with UGB and IFRS, ensuring tax compliance, and driving continuous improvements across accounting processes. You will also lead and develop a small team while acting as a trusted partner to auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Austrian GAAP (UGB) and IFRS Leadership and development of an accounting team Organisation and oversight of all accounting activities (document processing, posting of transactions, payment processing, account reconciliations, etc.) Preparation of reports, analyses and variance evaluations Timely preparation and submission of tax filings (calculation, posting and reconciliation of VAT returns, EC Sales Lists and related filings) Fixed asset accounting Coordination and liaison with auditors, tax advisors, government offices, authorities and banks Primary contact for accounting and tax-related matters Preparation of data and further development of the existing Internal Control System (ICS) Continuous improvement of processes Participation in projects Your Profile Completed commercial/business education (e.g. HAK, University of Applied Sciences, University) Successfully completed certified accounting qualification (Bilanzbuchhalter) Several years of professional experience in a comparable role Excellent SAP knowledge Advanced IT skills, particularly in Excel Very good written and spoken German and English skills What We Offer The minimum monthly salary for a full-time position is based on the collective agreement for the Austrian chemical industry, Salary Group IV. The actual salary will depend on your qualifications and experience, with a willingness to offer a higher salary accordingly.
