Company Background Our client is a family-founded, privately owned manufacturer of commercial food service equipment. They are an industry leader with over $200M in annual revenue, providing a range of American-made equipment solutions to a large portfolio of B2B customers and accounts. The Position As a Welder, you will perform welding (MIG, TIG, and Handheld Laser), blending, and finishing of stainless-steel components to produce high-quality food service equipment that meets company quality standards. This role primarily involves cosmetic TIG welding, smoothing, and polishing welds. You will work with light-gauge stainless steel materials (10-20 gauge) and use various welding and finishing techniques to produce quality products. Primary responsibilities include: Perform cosmetic TIG welding on stainless steel components and assemblies. Fuse metal using TIG welding techniques, including the use of filler rods as required. Weld products according to engineering drawings, dimensional specifications, and quality standards. Polish, sand, blend, and regrain welds to create a clean, seamless finish. Operate MIG, TIG, and Handheld Laser welding equipment as needed. Perform grinding, smoothing, and finishing operations to ensure product quality and appearance. Inspect completed welds and finished products to ensure compliance with customer and company standards. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Qualifications and Candidate Background The ideal candidate will have: High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated proficiency in TIG welding, including metal fusion, filler rod application, and cosmetic finishing techniques. Ability to sand, blend, and regrain welds to achieve a high-quality appearance. Experience in welding in a manufacturing, metal fabrication, automotive, or related industrial environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
