En Cencosud Scotiabank nos encontramos en la búsqueda de un/a Platform Engineer para la Gerencia de Tecnología y Desarrollo Digital. En dicho rol, deberás trabajar colaborativamente para proveer la capa centralizada de entrega de servicios, recursos y sus abstracciones. Desarrolla y opera sistemas con mentalidad de producto; construye self-service, golden paths y automatizaciones que hacen el ciclo de vida del software más eficiente, escalable y seguro. Funciones principales: Construir y mantener Golden paths que reduzcan la fricción y la variabilidad entre equipos. Desarrollar pipelines de CI/CD y flujos de trabajo bajo prácticas GitOps. Implementar y evolucionar infraestructura y configuración como código. Incorporar controles de seguridad y observabilidad dentro de los flujos automatizados. Identificar y eliminar trabajo manual repetitivo en procesos operativos y de despliegue. Documentar las capacidades y acompañar su adopción Requisitos: Formación Académica: Ingeniería en computación, informática, telecomunicaciones, electrónica o afín. Conocimientos Específicos: -Experiencia en Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE o Cloud Engineering. -Operación de clusters Kubernetes, incluyendo experiencia con operadores. -Herramientas de CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Harness, GitHub Actions u otras). -Diseño de flujos de trabajo con prácticas GitOps. -Implementación de IaC/CaC (OpenTofu/Terraform, Ansible, Puppet u otras). -Experiencia sobre nubes públicas. -Nociones de desarrollo de software en cualquier lenguaje. -Inglés intermedio. Conocimientos deseables: -API Management (Kong, API Connect, Apigee u otros). -Kafka, self-hosted o administrado. -CMS headless (Sveltia, Directus, Strapi u otros). -Herramienta de manejo de secretos (Vault, OpenBao, Infisical u otros) Experiencia al menos 3 años en cargos similares. Deseable experiencia similar en retail o banco. Lugar de trabajo: Las Condes, cercano al metro Tobalaba. Horario de oficina de lunes a jueves, los viernes salida a las 13:30 hrs. Modalidad hibrida: 3 días oficina y 2 teletrabajo.

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
