Role: Senior Backend Java Developer Languages Required: English & Spanish (Professional Fluency) Location: 44 King St W, Toronto, ON M5H 1H1, CA Hybrid: 2-3 days in office a week We are seeking 8-12 years experienced highly skilled Senior Backend Java Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, API Integration, Azure Cloud, and SQL/PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively communicate with global stakeholders, business teams, and technical teams across regions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. Build and support Microservices-based architectures. Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. Deploy, monitor, and support applications in Microsoft Azure Cloud. Develop and optimize database solutions using SQL and PostgreSQL. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions. Participate in code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support. Work closely with English and Spanish-speaking stakeholders and teams. Required Skills 8+ years of experience in Java backend development. Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices. Hands-on experience with API Integration and REST services. Experience with Azure Cloud services and deployments. Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL. Experience in performance tuning and application optimization. Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal). Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications. Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging frameworks. Experience working in global, distributed Agile teams.
