The role involves testing web, mobile, desktop, and backend applications throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, API testing, database validation, and performance testing, with the ability to identify defects, analyze application behavior, and work closely with development and product teams. Key Responsibilities Analyze business and technical requirements and develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing. Test web, mobile, desktop, and backend applications across different platforms and environments. Perform API testing to validate backend services, integrations, data flow, authentication, and error handling. Conduct load, stress, and performance testing to evaluate application stability, scalability, responsiveness, and reliability. Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects throughout the defect lifecycle. Collaborate with developers to investigate issues, identify root causes, verify fixes, and ensure timely resolution. Perform database and data validation using SQL where required. Conduct cross-browser, cross-platform, and device compatibility testing. Prepare and maintain test cases, test data, test reports, and QA documentation. Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, release planning, and production validation activities. Identify potential risks, edge cases, and failure scenarios before product release. Work closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality. Contribute to improving QA processes, testing standards, automation coverage, and overall software quality. Support test automation initiatives and integrate automated testing into the development and release process where applicable. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 1+ years of experience in Software QA, Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or a related role. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and software testing methodologies. Hands-on experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Practical experience with API Testing using Postman or similar tools. Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, JSON, and API validation. Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and database testing. Experience with load and performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, Locust, or similar is preferred. Familiarity with test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar is an advantage. Experience with Git and familiarity with CI/CD processes. Experience with defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
