Tämä Positio Raportoi Product Engineering Manager __ Your Role and Responsibilities We are now looking for a new Product Engineering Specialist to join us at ABB Oy, Smart Power in Vaasa . In this role, you will be responsible for product maintenance of switch products . With us you can release your inner innovator with rapid modeling and prototyping to solve practical problems. Your tasks include providing technical support for Quality, Production and Procurement teams, maintaining 3D-models and 2D-drawings related to product revisions and validating production parts from new manufacturing tools. You will also work with our R&D department introducing new products to our factory. The Work Model For The Role Is You will be mainly accountable for: Updating 3D-models and 2D-drawings with PTC Creo to meet product enhancement or optimization needs from different stakeholders. Offering technical support for the Quality, Production, Customer support and Procurement teams. Validating new part manufacturing tools (plastic injection moulds, steel stamping tools, etc.) Participating in problem-solving groups and development initiatives. Preparing and validating prototypes of switch product components. Implementing engineering changes to production in collaboration with different stakeholders (e.g. Quality team and R&D teams.) Qualifications For The Role B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree from mechanical engineering or relevant field. A few years’ experience in mechanical design work. Good problem-solving capabilities and team working skills. Good knowledge of CAD softwares (Creo or similar) and PLM systems (Windchill or similar). Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge about plastic moulding technologies and sheet metal production technologies is beneficial. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
