Role Description The Arc Welder role at Bluestone Enterprises is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Chennai Area. The Arc Welder will perform welding and fabrication tasks on various metal components, following technical drawings, work orders, and safety procedures. Daily activities include setting up welding equipment, preparing materials, executing welds, inspecting completed work for quality, and making necessary adjustments or repairs. The role also involves collaborating with supervisors and other technicians, maintaining tools and machines, and adhering to all workplace safety and housekeeping standards. The Arc Welder may support other welding processes as needed to meet project requirements and timelines. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Arc Welding and general Welding techniques, with the ability to work on different joint types and positions. Experience with TIG Welding and MIG Welding processes for a variety of fabrication and repair tasks. Understanding of Materials properties, including metals and alloys commonly used in industrial and fabrication work. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols. Knowledge of workplace safety practices, PPE usage, and safe handling of welding equipment. Prior experience as a welder or fabrication technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred. Relevant technical certification or vocational training in welding or metal fabrication is an advantage. Attention to detail, steady hand–eye coordination, and capacity to work in a physically demanding environment.
